About this speaker
Rev. Jessie Squires Colwell is the Director of Clergy Excellence for the Virginia Conference UMC. She has served small, mid-sized, and large churches in her 13 years of ministry. Jessie has embodied connectionalism by serving on local, national, and global boards of The United Methodist Church. Her book "Blessed Wrestling: Biblical Reflection on Discerning God's Call" was just released this December. Jessie is passionate about providing useful resources to laity and clergy in the Virginia Conference. She is also a wife to Nelson and a mother to her six-year-old son, Dean.
