About this speaker
Darlene Runaldue began her new position as Next Generation Ministry Director at Wesley UMC in Vienna, VA. just before the pandemic and has eagerly embraced both in-person and online ways of doing ministry and mission. Darlene is a Certified Professional in the VA Conf and has a Bachelor's in Religion. She is a participant in the Northern Virginia Youth Cohort and the year-long study of youth ministry. As the previous Dean of Mission Encounter she had the privilege of working with a dynamic team of mission-minded members, and together they planned the first-ever all virtual Mission Encounter. This experience taught her the value of being open-minded and creative in mission ministry. She has done extensive mission work in Haiti where she feels she receives far more than she has ever given. Darlene is the owner of Scatter Seeds in Old Town Manassas--a 100% Fair Trade store--the idea for which stemmed from visiting Fair Trade Nonprofits in Haiti. Darlene has three grandchildren. She loves being outside, watching her grandchildren learn new things and ministry with all ages.
