Rev. Billy Kluttz (he/him), MPA, Mdiv, serves as Associate Pastor at Govans Presbyterian Church in Baltimore, Maryland. Billy is a creative worship leader and educator, having taught courses on worship and led worship for conferences and gatherings throughout the United States. Billy is a recipient of a 2018 Vital Worship Grant from the Calvin Institute for Christian Worship for his work on accessible liturgy; he currently serves as a consultant for a 2020 continuation grant based on his earlier work with the institute. Billy’s writing on liturgy, the church, and theology have been published by the Calvin Institute for Christian Worship, The Washington Post, and The Other Journal. Billy is a monthly contributor to The Resistance Prays, a daily devotional for progressive Christians, and co-hosts two podcasts: The TL;DR Bible Show, featuring comedic Bible summaries and serious theological commentary, and Selon La Bible Gay, a French-language podcast offering LGBTQ-affirming readings of Biblical texts. Billy holds a Master of Public Administration from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and a Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary.
